Carol Stilson, LPC
Carol has worn a few hats during her career. She has been a teacher, a manager, a housewife, a website leader, and a therapist. She completed her bachelors degree through the University Wisconsin Milwaukee and her masters degree through Marquette University in Milwaukee. She completed her internship with GI Indian Community Center offering individual therapy and with Aurora Psychiatric Hospital doing outpatient group therapy. She has been a case manager, a social worker doing inpatient care, an addiction counselor, and a crisis therapist.
Carol believes that clients don’t care how much she knows until the client knows how much she cares. This flows into her belief in the human body’s ability to heal – all it’s waiting for is the right guidance. Together she will help you explore your current struggles and the experiences that molded you to determine a direction for healing. Using traditional talk therapy, supportive therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and EMDR you will learn about concepts that will open up new possibilities for your future.
